JW Broadcasting announced today it was naming Erica Nochlin as its new weeknight  anchor, promoting her from weekend anchor and reporter. She will co-anchor ABC 17’s 10 p.m. broadcast Sunday through Thursday with Ryan Tate as well as Fox 22’s 9 p.m. news.

Nochlin is replacing former anchor Brynn Gingras, who is leaving the station for a reporting job in Hartford, Conn. She will continue to report for the stations.

Nochlin started at KMIZ in August 2007 as a reporter. She was promoted to weekend anchor and reporter in June 2008. She has a journalism degree from Indiana University and a graduate certificate from the University of Missouri.
