William Woods University in Fulton has been accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council for its master of education-administration and educational special degrees. This TEAC accreditation allows for reciprocity with other states, and this will allow Arkansas teachers to take graduate courses from any one of the William Woods campuses. Doug Ebersold, dean of education, said the Arkansas Department of Education recently started requiring teachers to complete either TEAC or NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education) accredited programs to receive administrative certification. In Missouri, graduate education programs are accredited by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
